New! FREE ~ 'Wee' Watercolour tutorial

Christmas is a time for giving, so as a little thank you to all the lovely members of Tracey Bengeyfield Art ~ here's a free tutorial!

This Christmas Tree tutorial contains a number of 'wee' watercolours which are short, fun, painting projects which you can enjoy yourself or, even better, share your love of painting and get creative alongside your 'wee' ones ~ be it children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or perhaps children you look after! Painting with children is such a great way to nurture a common bond and to create memories together.

These five little projects are self contained, so they can be completed separately ~ so if you only have half an hour to spare, just pick your favourite one and give it a go! Once complete, they can be added to a card or used as gift tags. However, if you have more time, why not create the whole set and turn them into lovely festive bunting!

All of the techniques demonstrated are interchangeable, so you can create lots of different designs ~ just mix & match your favourite techniques! Alternatively, you might like to just pick one technique and use it on all of the different templates and perhaps just change the colours. Once you get started you will be amazed at how many different ways you can alter the projects and develop your ideas. Why not come up with some of your own designs too?! Remember you can even add metallic markers to make them extra special!

Take a look at the short video to find out more!

I really hope you enjoy this 'Wee' watercolour ~ remember, if you try any of them out, don't forget to post your creations on the forum. And if you can think of anyone else who might enjoy the projects too, just point them in the direction of the website and tell them to request membership (it's free). Once they are members they can access this project (including the outline drawings, step-by-step worksheet and the real time videos!). Members also have access to a number of other painting tutorials too! It's a great way to try watercolour for FREE!

Note: If you don't fancy the painting aspect of this project, you could use the outline drawing as a starting point and use any other media you have at home to add the decoration. Or if you know someone who is a fan of colouring in, you might like to download this A4 sheet from our last painting project which has some lovely festive outline drawings to complete!

I hope you enjoy this little, fun freebie ~ Sending you best wishes for a happy, healthy Christmas!

Take care,

Tracey x
